In 1996 he participated at a world competition in Canada, attended by over 350 violinists. The victory in this competition allowed to Marton to get the award for his whole life to play a Stradivari violin owned by a Swiss bank, built in 1697 and used 200 years earlier by Paganini.

Nel frattempo, si erano formati 2 gruppi ben distinti , con tanto di barricate formate da materassi e reti di fortuna. Bottiglie di spumante venivano svuotate e trasformate in bombe molotov e si udirono anche colpi di cannone.
Ormai l’agognato antipasto mai raggiunto, era diventato un pretesto to give free rein to atavism desire for redemption.

As I announced in my previous post, I spent New Year's Eve at a restaurant with friends. We had spotted the place about a month ago, the price was very affordable and full of lots of appetizers , 2 primi , 2 secondi , vini a volontà , musica dal vivo e ogni ben di Dio si potesse immaginare. Ci presentiamo all’appuntamento alle 20,30 , ci fanno accomodare in un enorme salone. Il mio gruppo era formato da 20 persone e con tutti gli altri commensali per un totale di 1600 individui. 
Piatti e bicchieri rigorosamente di carta , ognuno di noi a fianco del piatto, aveva una trombetta , coriandoli e stelle filanti. Purtroppo gli antipasti erano serviti a buffet , disposti sopra un tavolo di soli 2 metri per 1 , distanziati di 30 metri dal massiccio gruppo di commensali.
Una corpulenta capo cameriera, emettendo un terrificante urlo alla Tarzan , dava inizio alle libagioni Cose pazzesche … 1600 forsennati che correvano in direzione dei tavolini degli antipasti travolgendo tutto, persone che cadevano come birilli e venivano calpestate dalla folla affamata.
