Let the party referendum hoax

Roma, venerdì 19 giugno
dalle ore 18.00 in poi a Piazza Farnese

awarded the prize to a single party majority, and doubling the threshold for entry into Parliament of the representatives of the people, it would compress up to capacity the right of voters to choose their representatives, allowing a minority to seize all powers and break free of control.
The referendum does not kill the "porcellum" but strengthens it and makes it everlasting. To keep open the hope of changing this unfair electoral law must be neglecting to derail the referendum vote.

hoax The reasons for saying No to the referendum election in 10 points. ABSTENTION

1. We are all unhappy with the current electoral law, widely known as "porcellum" with which he voted in the last two elections (2006 and 2008).
2. This law, through the blocked lists, has snatched the voters of any remaining possibility to choose their representatives in Parliament, giving a narrow oligarchy of people (the leaders of political parties) the power to 100% of the composition of the Legislative Assemblies . Therefore, all "the people's representatives" were appointed by oligarchies of the party, be released from any popular control.
3. Through the introduction di soglie di sbarramento irragionevoli, il “porcellum” ha soffocato il pluralismo, espellendo le minoranze, non coalizzate dal Parlamento.
5. Il referendum propone sostanzialmente due modifiche della vigente legge elettorale: a) attribuisce il premio di maggioranza alla lista, che abbia ottenuto anche un solo voto in più delle altre liste concorrenti, abrogando la possibilità che il premio venga attribuito ad una coalizione di partiti; b) determina il raddoppio delle soglie di sbarramento confermando per tutti la soglia del 4% alla Camera dei Deputati e dell’8% the Senate (the current law requires only that the coalition parties do not).
6. Award a prize to a majority of single list causes an unusual increase in the premium itself, subverting the basic rule of any democracy that rests on the principle that decisions are taken by majority vote.
7. In this way there is a sort of dictatorship of the minority, as only one party, without the consent of the majority of the Italian people would have in its hands the control of the government and the possibility of electing - alone - and the President of the Republic to amend the Constitution.
8. The call of the voters to the polls for the referendum hides a fallacy: it takes advantage of the dissatisfaction generale che tutti noi nutriamo verso questa legge elettorale (il porcellum) per spingerci ad un voto che, qualunque sia il risultato, non può avere altro effetto che quello di rafforzare il porcellum.
